Hey everyone! Today is a very special day here! It's the day before Easter and everyone is painting egs and just enjoying this great sunny weather! And since I'm feeling very excited, I thought that I should post something also very spring inspired - the Zooey Deschanel inspired hairstyle! This tutorial I've found on Bobby Glam and I must say, all of their tutorials and posts are absoloutley amazing! All very nicely put together, I love it! I also have to say that the girl in the tutorial used a clip in fringe that you can buy in their shop here.
For the full tutorial, here is the video!
It's a very classy look, prefect if you want to try something new! And while creating this hairstyle, don't panic if the moment you put you fringe in place it doesn't look good.
It just needs a little ajusment and practice. Soon I'll
post a similar tutorial also incuding bangs, but created in a different way, so untill then, have fun creating this, fun, edgy but still very classy hairstyle!
Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since this year's KCA, and since all that time I've been admiring Kristen's whole look. From the cool playsuit to the amazing hair, I was blown. It just leaves an impression of youth and freedom combined with great fashion taste. Oh, and the purple smokey eyes, that the icing on the cake! I just loved it! Therefore I couldn't resist to post a great and easy hair tutorial that I've found here (click there to get more info on the products used) and plus, a makeup tutorial for her look!
Hair magician ADIR ABERGEL hooked the 22-year-old up for the night by styling her long auburn tresses in quite possibly the coolest fishtail braid I’ve ever seen. Using the Fekkai products he created this, undone, fresh and simple to recreate hairstyle. So, here is the hair tutorial (just wait a few seconds and the video will appear itself). AND NOW, THE MAKEUP...
Kristen posed for the KCA cameras giving them a smouldering ultra-violet stare courtesy of her smoky deep purple eyes. Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist JILLIAN DEMPSEYwas inspired by both her eye color and the shade of her outfit.
Before starting, Jillian had to start with a clean palette.
Hey everyone! Long time no see! I can't wait to show you this new look, which has first appeared at the Band Of Outsiders fall 2013 show. This artfully rumpled style has been created by Duffy, a beauty expert. I've found this tutorial ( well, more like, a video) on Vogue.com on its top 10 stories from this week. I must say that this fashion season will be mostly marked by a little more classier and sleeaker hairstyles, but nevermind, because this is a great mixture of messy and classy! And even though this is a very casual style, it's the texture of the hair that makes it so exceptional!
For more info about the products used in this video (oh yeah, don't be afraid of clicking the link, It's not a virus or a pop-up, It will just open an extra tab and you will watch it there!) you can visit the Vogue page here. And as for the video, just follow this link: http://bcove.me/5i06rgeb
Hey everyone, sorry for not posting anything for these few days. I guess I'm feeling a little uninspired.... but I think I'm getting back my inspiration with the amazing beachy waves that are Kristen Stewart's signature look. They look so youthful, fun and intentionally made to look "undone". Kristen is one of my favorite actresses, and I just love her style in general. So when my hair grows back, I'm definitely gonna try it!
This is Kristen for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. These beautiful messy, sexy waves will never get old, and they're so easy to make! Take a look at this video:
Kristen Stewart chose the 2011 MTV Movie Awards to showcase no fuss no muss hairstyle. And she did it well, combined with the red safety pin custom made Balmain dress. To recreate Kristen's low-key yet sexy spent-the-day-at-the-beach waves, here is the tutorial:
Fekkai Celebrity Stylist Adir Abergel created a raw rock and roll style for Kristen. So, Abergel started by applying the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip throughout and rough dried the hair. Once dried, he re-applied the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip and re-dried the hair to create a natural wave. He then backcombed the hair from roots to ends spraying Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray and slightly ironed the hair. Finally, he brushed the hair to form the texture of the hair.
All products by Fekkai: Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip ($23) and Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray ($24). Available at Fekkai.com and Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
As she walked in the red carpet during the recent 2012 MTV Movie Awards, you can’t help but love her in her quirky lime and silver mini-dress, and of course, her signature wild tousles that a lot of girls would kill to achieve. She was all rock glam, and gorgeous! Here's an no-heat tutorial:
Wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner (do not comb it but do brush it before washing). Let it air-dry for a while until it becomes a little damp. Work on some volumizing mousse through your hair to give it more body as well as a natural look when it dries up. Part your hair into four sections. Using scrunchies, twist the first section round and round, and as tight as you want them. Loose twists mean loose curls. Clip it up to a bun. Then, do the same thing with the rest of the sections. Leave the buns on for 1–2 hours, and then let them loose. Flip over your head and scrunch your hair with your hands to give it body and definition.
To achieve the side-sweep part, drag one section of your hair to the other side and secure them with bobby pins. For the finishing touch, finger-comb it or use some cream or spray to get rid of the unruly ones. The messier the better, good luck!
It's time to play a little with your hair. Try out new looks and techniques, and start with this simple look. Keiko, a beautiful blogger from Keiko Lyinn did this quick, well let's say little loose bun-ponytail hybrid. Why did I choose this tutorial? Well, it's very basic. Playing with high ponytails and volume is a great way to start. As she said in the video, the hair's best texture is day after you wash it. Fell free to take a tour through my blog, and find all kinds of hair tutorials from all over the web. Happy Friday friends!
A quick twist and done. Ivania from Love Aesthetics really made it look so simple. Her unconventional style shines through this hairstyle. And the big earrings, are a great contrast to this low casual hair twist. As she said, she likes when hair looks a little bin neglected. Try it out, maybe it'll become your everyday hair routine.
Have you ever tried to make a french hair roll? This hairstyle is a little bit hard, and if you get confused, I recommend for you to consult with your hair stylist. But, If you think you have the skills required, here we go! Prepare yourself by good brushing your hair before you start. Then, take your hair and make a pony (don't tie it). Start by twisting and warping you hair up. Switch the remaining of your hair to the other side and pin the hair roll (so you could let go the remaining and pull some hair from your french roll). Tease it and style the way you want your french roll to look. To secure everything, pin some hair at the sides. And for the finish - add some strong but flexible hairspray.
This is probably my most worn hairstyle in the last few weeks. Partly because summer began and the sun is burning. But this can be also a very good cover-up when your hair is all greasily. It's practically my super hero. Hahaha. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture to show you the final result of this less than a minute hair tutorial. The braid on the bangs is not necessary, you can skip that step. Loose bangs are always a hit. Just twist your hair and then warp it up in a bun and secure it with a few bobby pins.
Most of you know that I love messy bohemian hairstyles. And as you know from my past posts they are a big hit this upcoming summer. The great this is that, when you learn how it's made, you can also apply it on other hairstyles. Just to style and refresh it! This tutorial is very cute, I just love it! My source is - Beautiful Mess Blog. It's one of my favorite places to go when I feel inspired.
Okay, start by french braiding hair from the back to the side. Then use a hair elastic to tie a side ponytail. Tease the pony by using a comb, as much as possible. After that, braid the teased hair into a regular braid. Pull it so that everything is uneven and loose. Now to make things easier, cut the elastic off ( watch out not to cut any hair ). And that's it! Enjoy your big messy bohemian braid!
For me, the best go-to summer hairstyle ( without any effort ) is definitely the beautiful messy beach hair. As you know, messy hairstyles are IN this season. This tutorial is going to be very useful, until you get your natural beach waves. The hairspray is all natural, it contains sea salt and almost everything that you can find in your kitchen. There's no hair damaging or something like that, it'll be like you just spend a day at the beach.
{Here's the DIY beach hairspray tutorial}
First, here are the ingredients. Everything you can find on Soap.com. All the credit you should give to Asuyeta Blog, I've found the tutorial there!
♥ Coconut oil
♥ Sea salt
♥ Vodka
♥Hair gel
♥ Spray bottle
♥Measuring cups
Make sure that the water is warm-hot so the coconut oil melts.
Coconut oil smells so delightful, and it's very helpful. If your hair is dry just use 2-3 tbsp of coconut oil!
You can also use rubbing alcohol. It lets the spray last longer and helps to break down your hairs oil build-up.
If your hair is more oily, use more sea salt. But, ONLY sea salt.
A few spritzes of hair gel gives your hair a better hold and texture.
NOW: Spray all over damp hair and scrunch with your fingers. Blow dry or let it air dry. Finger comb through your hair and you look like you just came from a beautiful and fun day at the beach! You'll look so beautiful!
Yep, they are back! And I'm so happy that they are IN again, because I really like the bed-head look! When I say 'messy hairstyles' I mean messy fishtails, braids, short hair and buns. I already posted a post on how to make a fishtail braid( <-- click!) and I also have a lost of different kinds of bun styles. Don't forget that, If you want a bed-head look you'll need some hair volumizer and after putting it on your hair, wrinkle it. It's pretty simple. And so beautiful! Here's a tutorial on how to make wavy hair without using any heat!
If some one asked me what is my favorite hairstyle that would definitely be the soft fishtail braid. It sometimes can create a rebel look, but manly it has a girly innocent effect. It's a perfect everyday hairstyle, and also perfect school style. You can wear it even for prom, jut add a nice hair accessorize and you will look like a princess. And, don't worry if your braid didn't turn the way that girl made it, cause the moto for these kind of braids is: "The more messy, the better".

Oh, and the hair do?
Part the hair into three sections. I start at the ear and go across the head to the other ear.
Pull the top section into a ponytail on one side and the bottom one into a ponytail on the same side.
Pull both into the middle section and secure with an elastic. I pulled the hair into a messy bun.
Top off with some darling butterfly clips that are too cute for words!
Remember THIS twist tutorial and THIS messy ponytail? Today we combined them.
It was super fun to do such a small twist on Tess's hair. We did this on her sister yesterday using all of her hair, but since Tess has shorter locks, we did it with only half of her hair.
One more...
I did the same thing to Miss Amelia's hair, but it just didn't feel right today, so we did some more...on the bottom. When I pulled the bottom hair together, we just pulled it up to the top twist and put another rubber band. To make it easier, you could just do two messy ponytails and tie ribbons around them individually. Oh, that would be cute! I may have to do that tomorrow. It would give a lot of length to a cute hairstyle!
Get out those bobby pins girls, we're going to make loops today.
Start with a ponytail
Section out a part of the ponytail. I made five sections with hers.
Loop the section up over the ponytail...like so.
Here is where the bobby pins come in handy. Use the bobby pins to secure the loop to the hair. When you put the bobby pins in, cross them. It helps them to stay secure and not slip. Don't worry about the end of the hair...we will fix that later. Just push it to the side and ignore it.
Loop the rest of your sections. See all that stray hair? Here is where we fix it.
Pull the ends up through your loops. I did this by dividing the ends in half and putting each half out the side of it's loop. You can stop right here if you want to because I love the messy look. But my daughter doesn't, so we kept on going.
I curled each of the ends with my trusty flat-iron.
Then I sprayed the heck out of it with hairspray because it was a rainy day and her hair doesn't do so well in the rain.
Then added flowers to the top.
Now, I should have fluffed each of the curls to give it a messy look...but as I said, it was a rainy day and that would have just been a big old mess because we went to lunch and shopping. I didn't want to deal with a big old mess.
